HR Generalist to manage and support HR operations in both the United States and Colombia . The selected candidate will be responsible for key HR processes, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and fostering a positive work environment. The role requires a highly motivated professional with strong communication skills in both English and Spanish and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the HR team in the U.S. Key Responsibilities: 1. Recruitment & Hiring: Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions. Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection. Coordinate background checks and reference verifications. Ensure an efficient and structured hiring process that aligns with company objectives. Maintain an up-to-date talent pipeline for key positions. Provide guidance on competitive salary offers and market trends. Manage candidate experience and employer branding initiatives. 2. Onboarding & Employee Integration: Develop and oversee onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires. Conduct orientation sessions and provide necessary training materials. Coordinate with different departments to set up new employees with essential tools and resources. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure proper documentation compliance. Facilitate introductions and cultural adaptation for new employees. Monitor new hire satisfaction and address any initial concerns. Ensure legal documentation and contracts are properly signed and stored. 3. Learning & Development: Identify training needs and develop career development programs. Organize and oversee internal and external training initiatives. Partner with managers to provide leadership development programs. Monitor training effectiveness and implement improvements. Keep employees informed of training opportunities and mandatory compliance courses. Support performance management processes and career growth strategies. Maintain records of certifications and training completions. 4. Labor Relations & Employee Engagement: Lead the Legal Labor Law in Colombia. Act as a key point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries. Mediate workplace conflicts and provide solutions aligned with company policies. Ensure compliance with labor laws. Support disciplinary processes and grievance handling. Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and workplace respect. Organize engagement initiatives and internal communication strategies. Assist with exit interviews and offboarding procedures. 5. Payroll (Colombia Only) & Compensation: Manage and oversee Colombia’s payroll processing in coordination with Accounting. Ensure timely and accurate salary payments, deductions, and benefits administration. Maintain compliance with Colombian tax and labor regulations. Address employee payroll concerns and discrepancies. Manage employee benefits and social security contributions. Generate payroll reports and ensure financial accuracy. 6. HR Policies & Legal Compliance: Develop and maintain HR policies in alignment with local and international labor laws. Ensure consistent application of HR policies across both the U.S. and Colombia. Keep up-to-date with labor law changes and recommend necessary policy updates. Conduct HR audits and ensure document compliance. Support visa and work permit processes when needed. Provide legal guidance on employment contracts and company agreements. Maintain accurate employee records for regulatory reporting. 7. Labor Cost Analysis & Workforce Planning: Track and analyze labor costs to optimize workforce budgeting. Provide insights on staffing needs and workforce trends. Prepare reports on headcount, turnover, and other key HR metrics. Assist in forecasting hiring and compensation budgets. Monitor overtime, absenteeism, and productivity indicators. Support leadership in decision-making based on workforce analytics. 8. Employee Wellness & Culture Initiatives: Develop and implement wellness programs to enhance employee well-being. Coordinate health and safety initiatives in compliance with regulations. Organize team-building activities and employee recognition programs. Promote a positive work environment through engagement strategies. Support mental health awareness and stress management programs. Ensure employees have access to well-being resources and benefits. Gather feedback from employees to enhance workplace culture. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or Industrial Engineering. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an HR Generalist role, preferably in a multinational environment. Language: Fluent English proficiency (C1 level - Mandatory). Strong knowledge of Colombian labor law and familiarity with U.S. HR practices. Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and problem-solving skills.
