Capital Buildings Unarmed ContractSecurity Officer (DC) CSOs must meet the following qualifications,to be vetted by the contract agency prior to referral: 1. PossessUnited States citizenship (either by birth or naturalization). 2.Possess a valid high school diploma or General EducationalDevelopment (GED), or equivalency. 3. Pass a medical and physicalstandards examination. 4. Be able to read, write and speak theEnglish language fluently. 5. Be at least 21 years of age. 6.Possess a valid, unrestricted (except eyewear) state driver’slicense. 7. Satisfy one of the following: 1. Two years of servicein the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or NationalGuard); 2. Any combination of two years of experience in physicalsecurity (as a security officer—armed or unarmed) and service withthe United States Armed Services (including Reserves or NationalGuard); 3. Associate’s Degree in a security or law enforcementfield; 4. Successful completion of a police officer’s basictraining academy. Insurance available, paid sick and vacation,401K.
