The Events and Conventions Training Specialist will provide operational and training support to meeting planners. This role will help develop and document event and conventions planning standard operating procedures (SOPs) and support training and onboarding of new team members. This is a hybrid position in Bogotá. **Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned**: - Support compliance with Medtronic policies and relevant regulations, plans and organizes internal and external business-related meetings, symposiums, conferences, and program events by working with meeting stakeholders to align and execute against strategic direction (e.g., meeting objectives, desired outcomes, intended audience, content coordination, creative and innovative engagement techniques) - Address all aspects of budget and billing, including development of and tracking against budgets, identification, and capture of cost savings/cost avoidance efforts, reconciling master bill, coordinating payments to vendors, and managing meeting expenses - Investigate, source, negotiate, and coordinate hotel and ancillary meeting services (includes contractors, vendors, onsite staff) while managing all logistics of program functions, including but not limited to meeting space set-up, catering, arrangement of air and ground transportation - Facilitate attendee experience through website & registration site design, event promotion and communication, and attendee management to support needs related to meeting attendance (e.g., accommodation requests, RSVPs for sessions, travel manifests) **Required knowledge and Experience**: - Bachelor’s degree - Fluent in English - Two years of related experience administrative support, functional roles, customer-facing position, meeting planner, concierge or related to hotel industries - Strong relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills The knowledge of Cvent Event Management is advantageous **Physical Job Requirements** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. **Benefits & Compensation**: **Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package** A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
