About Your Business Area/Department: Disruption handling focuses on managing unplanned events (such as weather, strikes, or other causes that ground planes) to minimize impacts for airlines and travelers. Within Airport and Airlines Operations, the Disruption department provides comprehensive products and solutions, enabling airlines to efficiently manage daily and large-scale disruptions affecting the entire network. This helps customers rebook themselves and allows agents to monitor process efficiency. Summary of the role: Join us in the exciting world of airport tech! In this role you’ll: Common accountabilities: Possess the required technical/functional knowledge in your discipline and understand how Amadeus's business relates to your area. Follow existing procedures or guidelines, support decision-making, and suggest improvements based on analysis of information. Work with moderate guidance from your manager. Specific accountabilities: Participate in specification and architecture reviews, providing feedback on risks, issues, and gaps. Define test strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with specifications and customer needs. Ensure compliance with CI/CD, Green IT, and quality standards (SDL, STDL, ISTQB). Test Expertise Design and script test cases. Prepare test environments and data; execute test cases. Sign off on features based on exit criteria. Update regression and CI/CD test cases regularly. Investigate PTRs, test fixes, and enhance test suites. Test Automation Evaluate automation needs for test scripts. Contribute to improving the test automation framework. Open defects, assign severity, and investigate issues. Verify defect fixes and decide on production deployment. Reporting Communicate testing activities, results, and milestones to stakeholders. Provide visibility on testing progress to involved teams. Support Mentor new team members and support QA peers. Knowledge Sharing Share technical and functional knowledge within the QA community and stakeholders. Quality Assurance Ambassador Ensure quality control for projects, products, or releases. Promote best practices and high standards within QA teams. Use QA tools and frameworks effectively. Suggest improvements or new tools development. Address QA operational issues proactively. Drive quality process improvements, e.g., within SAFe frameworks. Contribute to reducing environmental impact of QA activities. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: University degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent. Experience: At least 3+ years of hands-on testing experience. Skills: Proficient with Jira, Scrum, Agile methodologies. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide technical guidance. Experience with Jenkins, Octane, Confluence, Selenium. Knowledge of the travel domain (airlines/airports). Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Couchbase), cloud tech (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker).
