Our team currently includes 37 colleagues from seven countries across the Americas, conducting policy-relevant research on water management and sustainable transitions. This position will focus primarily on carrying out assigned tasks that support the sound management of project implementation across the institute. **About the role**: We are recruiting a **Program Analyst**, working under the supervision of the SEI Latin America Senior Program Manager. This role will support our program management and operations teams and assist researchers in successfully implementing their projects. This is a support-focused, entry-level role - ideal for a recently graduated professional seeking their first work experience in a dynamic organization working on sustainable development and environmental projects. These projects are funded by a range of donors, each with their own contracting and reporting requirements. **Key duties and responsibilities**: - Meet regularly with the Senior Program Manager and project leads to compile and track administrative tasks required for project implementation over both short - and medium-term timeframes. - Based on these meetings, draft evolving short-term work plans (typically 1-3 weeks) to address priority activities. Finalize these work plans in collaboration with the Senior Program Manager and report regularly on progress. - Carry out a variety of administrative tasks (e.g. procurement, logistics, bookkeeping, reporting) that support project implementation by SEI Latin America researchers. - Many of these tasks will involve financial management. Under the supervision of the SEI Latin America Accountant, help rigorously document and justify project expenses. - When required, prepare written reports documenting the steps taken to complete assigned administrative tasks in support of project implementation. **Who you are**: You are a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You thrive in a fast-paced, flexible and innovative research environment. You are able to build trusting relationships within the organization and deliver work on time, meeting deadlines. You pay close attention to detail while also keeping the big picture in mind. In addition, you should preferably possess most of the following skills and experience: - An undergraduate degree in business administration, accounting, economics, finance, international relations or development studies. - Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adjust work plans in response to continuously evolving priorities and requirements. - Strong organizational skills, with experience using commercially available software or project management tools you have developed yourself. - Good problem-solving skills, especially when facing unexpected challenges. - Previous internship experience in business administration or accounting would be a plus, though this is an entry level position, so no previous formal work experience is required. - Advanced Excel skills (data management, calculations, formatting).
