We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team and take on exciting challenges. Job Description We are looking for a talented engineer who can own the design and implementation of backend services that manage liquidity, compliance, and transactional flows. Your primary focus will be on building clean, well-tested TypeScript code and evolving our architecture as we scale. - Owning the design and implementation of backend services for liquidity, compliance, and transactional flows. - Shipping clean, well-tested TypeScript code and evolving our architecture as we scale. - Working closely with founders on API ergonomics, bank core integrations, and system scalability. - Building with correctness, observability, and auditability in mind to ensure system scalability to billions in volume. - Shaping engineering culture and helping make early hiring decisions. Must-Haves To succeed in this role, you must have: - 5+ years of backend experience, ideally building high-uptime systems in fintech, crypto, or banking. - Prior experience working on either fintech/banking compliance systems and/or managing crypto or fiat liquidity. - A track record of building and scaling infrastructure from the ground up. - A strong command of TypeScript. - Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by early-stage execution. - Experience in a remote-first company, including strong communication skills and an understanding of building remote-first culture. Nice-To-Haves The following skills would be beneficial: - Familiarity with NestJS. - Familiarity with functional programming approaches like fp-ts. - Experience with GCP and/or building in regulated environments (compliance, KYC/AML, etc.). - Experience working with banking cores (e.g., FIS, FiServe, Jack Henry).
