We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in CNC programming, nesting operations, and CAD design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing cutting programs for CNC machines, creating efficient nesting layouts, and producing detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. This role is essential to ensuring manufacturing efficiency, material optimization, and product quality. Key Responsibilities: Develop and modify CNC cutting programs based on technical drawings and specifications. Perform nesting operations to maximize material utilization and reduce waste. Design and revise 2D/3D mechanical components using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability of designs. Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan efficient manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot CNC programming issues and propose improvements. Maintain documentation and records of design files, programs, and change history. Support continuous improvement initiatives in design and production processes. Communicate technical concepts clearly in both English and Spanish with internal teams and external stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proven experience in CNC programming and nesting for cutting machines (e.g., plasma, laser, or router). Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (3D modeling and 2D drafting). Knowledge of G-code and CNC software (e.g., SigmaNEST, Hypertherm, or similar). Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
