Purpose Contributes to the overall success of Global Finance in Global Procurement Services by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Accountabilities Provide frontline support for all complex user requests and issues related to Procurement Technology (e.g., SmartBuy). Log, review, and resolve L1 and L2 support issues related to Procurement Technology. Interact with employees and suppliers for P2P platform onboarding, catalogue set-up and maintenance, invoice processing guidance, P2P Procurement as Approver activities, and purchase request guidance following SOPs and Work Instructions. Communicate verbally and in writing with Sourcing Managers, Suppliers, and Evaluators to support RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) or e-auction activities. Perform RFx/e-auction event setup, support, training, evaluation, and awarding activities. Maintain and implement RFx templates, following direction from the Process & Technology team. Prepare or update training materials. Apply knowledge of procurement best practices and general business practices to respond to inquiries related to Procurement Policy and Procedures. Operate the Bank’s issue ticket management system to log, review, and resolve support issues related to Procurement Technology. Collaborate with other teams to facilitate ticket resolution. Maintain Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions documentation and ensure data quality and service delivery according to SLAs. Perform root cause analysis of issues. Escalate issues to Lead, Sr. Analyst, Manager, or other stakeholders and track resolutions. Recommend process improvements and identify platform issues or gaps. Assist in training and onboarding new team members. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives. Prepare and distribute system reports. Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships. Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities and decisions. Ensure effective and efficient operations in line with Scotiabank’s values, code of conduct, and compliance standards. Support a high-performance, inclusive work environment. College Diploma or University Degree in a related field. 6-12 months of experience in operations, help desk, customer service, business analysis, process improvement, project management, or related fields. Good customer service skills with internal and external stakeholders. High self-motivation, initiative, and effective team operation. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, lookup, references, logical, and text functions). Attention to detail, data collection, manipulation, understanding, and analysis skills. Assets include experience with visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau), creating PowerPoint presentations, and procurement or helpdesk software.
