**CommScope Ruckus Networks** is a leading wireless-wired converged connectivity network solutions provider. We are seeking a **Senior Systems Engineer (Sr. SE)** to work with the Ruckus Sales Organization for CALA! This role is client-facing, involving both the partners & end-user clients in the assigned territories within Caribbean & Central America. How You’ll Help Us Connect the World? The Sr. SE will work within a multi-functional SE team supporting our Territory Account Managers, Partner Account Managers and with the partner’s own technical & commercial staff. The primary responsibilities of the role will be to position Ruckus Networks solutions, as well as to enable and assist partners in selling to key verticals. Ruckus partner development and enablement are critical to the role's success, acting as the Ruckus guide advisor when taking care of end-customer opportunities. You will focus on channel partner development and enablement for all Ruckus Channel Partners. As a System Engineer you will perform technical demos, proof of concept trials, technical training, provide design input and review, solution-focused selling and positioning to all levels of decision-makers, and deliver presentations for customers, partners, prospects, and events. To succeed, you will have strong technical skills, industry knowledge, and excellent experience as a customer or partner-facing Systems Engineer. Possess a knowledge of the Ruckus wireless and wired portfolio and related technologies and a proficient understanding of pre-sales engineering and sales processes including critical account management. **Minimum Qualifications**: - Undergraduate or graduate degree - BS/BA minimum - in Electrical, Computer, or Networking Engineering; Computer Programming; Information Technology; Management Information Systems; Computer Science; Mathematics. - Minimum 7 years of validated experience working with Wireless/Switching technologies within the enterprise segment is required. This is a remote-based role where the selected person will work mostly from a home office; with occasional administrative interactions or visits (HR/IT/Corp) to our local company offices. The location could be Bogota or San Jose Costa Rica (territory assignment will be Caribbean-Central America) **You Will Excite Us If You Have**: **PRESALES**:A good understanding of the concepts around pre-sales engineering, solutions selling narratives and sales processes. - ** SOLUTIONS FOCUS**:Able to present technology solutions that can address and resolve customer requirements across multiple verticals, positioning the solutions and not just the products. - ** AUDIENCE**: Ability to communicate on technical solutions to a variety of audiences that may include engineers, manager/director level decision makers, both written and orally. - ** STRATEGIC PROBLEM SOLVER**:Beginning understanding customer requirements and business drivers and how to map these to a customer solution around wireless/wired connectivity and network management. - ** TECHNICAL** **Working knowledge of SE technical skills**: - Specifically, 802.11 a/g/n/ac/ax, wireless design and assessment, wireless fixing, wireless network optimization - WAN/LAN design, configuration, solving (On-premise/Virtual/Cloud) - Cloud solutions positioning and know-how: Network management of Analytics is also desirable - SaaS and Subscription-based services selling or implementations - Security authentication methods and products RADIUS, AD, etc. - Virtualization environments/deployments, VM installations, (any of VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, GCE, Azure, AWS), etc. **Basic working knowledge of the following areas of specialization**: - WLAN Security in the areas of Authentication, Encryption, RADIUS/AAA, 802.1X, EAP/PSK, and Active Directory - VLAN network traffic segmentation and Security Principles - VoIP; QoS wired/wireless - RF engineering, Indoor and Outdoor wireless deployments - Mesh; Wireless Controller Architectures; Wi-Fi protocols and transmission - Packet Capture/Analysis Tools - Good understanding of the use of API’s and scripting is desirable - ** COMMUNICATION**: It is required to have excellent communications skills in English, besides Spanish as a first language.
