**Role: Professional Services Consultant - Data Center and IP Fabric SDN** **Location: Bangalore** **About the Position: This role is a full-time post-sales position on-site and remote, working as part of a wider Juniper Professional Services team. This role will require 10% travel. **What is Juniper Apstra?** Apstra is Juniper’s newest acquisition, bringing state-of-the-art Data Center automation to its customers. It provides integrated design, deployment, and management of VXLAN / EVPN Clos fabric networks in a vendor-agnostic way through a single pane of glass. Using advanced automation technology, manual, bespoke design and operational tasks have become a thing of the past. **Responsibilities: - This position will be an Individual Contributor Role - Run requirements and scoping workshops with customers, delivery partners, and sales. - Acting as a Technical lead for significant network deployments and migrations where responsibilities include delivery of Professional Services milestones, including creating high-level and low-level design documentation, migration planning, product integration, and acceptance. - Follow the Juniper Professional Services engagement and delivery processes, working closely with the Project Manager. - Work closely with colleagues and customer personnel to help test, design, and plan for deployments of new products and features. - Support networks in the early stages of deployment - Formulate network management strategies - Act as a Professional Services project leader on larger projects, coordinating the work of a larger delivery team and owning overall responsibility for network implementation. - Provide appropriate training (Knowledge Transfer workshops) to Juniper Networks partners and customers. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer's technical management and teams. - Participation in requirements gathering workshops, discussions, and meetings with Customer’s Design, Test, and/or Engineering Teams - Providing input related to ‘best practices in design, implementation, and/or migration planning, and validation & verification testing - Assisting with hand-over to Operations or to a Juniper Networks Operational RE - Tracking and reporting of issues found during testing, Implementation and migration **Must have skills - Expert communication and interpersonal skills. - Effective consultancy, planning & communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work on multiple projects and manage customers appropriately. - The mature “customer first” focus - Strong planning and designing experience. - Commitment to delivering a remarkable customer experience. - Excellent and deep hands-on and planning capabilities in advanced Data Center technologies - VxLAN, EVPN, MCLAG, IP Fabric - Strong knowledge of IP-related protocols, including IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, QOS solutions, and IPv6 standards/protocols - Familiar with any DC fabric SDN/manager/orchestration tool - Hands-on experience with Linux servers and network services (DHCP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP, DNS, NTP). - Basic knowledge of data structures, algorithms, HTTP/REST APIs - Familiar with Linux, Python, and version control systems such as Git - Fluent in English and Spanish and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Desirable Education and Experience**: - Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar discipline - 6+ years’ experience in the enterprise/telco/content provider Data Center environment **Desirable Skills: - JUNOS skills and hands-on planning capabilities with QFX, EX, and MX Series products.
