At the forefront of blockchain innovation, we're seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead business development efforts across LATAM. This dynamic role involves serving as a key regional public-facing voice and thought leader, driving organizational efficiency by coordinating SDF activity in the region. As part of our mission-driven team, you will support the broader partnership team and company objectives while fostering close partnerships and shared ownership of primary OKRs. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in business development roles within the blockchain, fintech, or financial services industries. A strong understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape, including experience working with crypto exchanges, custodians, and asset tokenization platforms, is essential. Additionally, excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, poise in professional settings, and self-awareness are crucial for success in this role. Responsibilities: - Business development work related to expanding DeFi, increasing monthly addresses, and driving asset tokenization, in coordination with Leads of each partnership vertical to drive relevant outcomes. - Assisting on regulatory and government relations needs in region, helping support the Legal, Policy and Government Relations teams. - Assisting the Ecosystem team to identify, plan, and run events in region. Requirements: - 10+ years of relevant experience in business development roles within the blockchain, fintech, or financial services industries. - A minimum of 2 years of experience in the blockchain industry, either at a blockchain company or in a role working on blockchain technology and use cases. - Strong understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape and experience working with crypto exchanges, custodians, and asset tokenization platforms. - Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, with multiple stakeholders, while often working remotely from said team. - Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a network of senior-level professionals, as well as sound judgment, poise in professional settings, and self-awareness. - Self starter with an entrepreneurial drive. - The ability to travel as needed, with frequent representation of Stellar at regional meetings and conferences. Preferred Qualifications: - Existing relationships within the crypto ecosystem, particularly with a focus on tokenization and decentralized finance. - Existing relationships with financial institutions, particularly on the asset management side.
