The position is basedin Montevideo, Uruguay. Relocation is required and covered by thecompany. Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:Knowledge and Skills: - Legal skills in at least two (2) of thefollowing practice areas: trading, finance, M&A;, corporate,regulatory and litigation. - Legal professional qualification withbetween 7 – 10 years PQE (+/-1 yr). - English and Spanish languageessential. - Portuguese language will be a plus. - Positive,self-motivated, committed, pro-active and efficient. - Strongattention to detail and ability to work independently and as partof a wider team. - Good communications skills to report complexlegal issues and provide advice in a digestible manner. KeyResponsibilities: General: - To be the point of contact for theprovision and procurement of legal assistance. - To actively managelegal risks considering the key interest of the company, keepinglegal and business management appraised on a real-time basis. - Toinstruct, manage and supervise external legal resources. Non-contentious: - To advise upon a variety of agreementspertaining to trading, M&A;, finance and projects includingjoint venture agreements, sale and/or purchase contracts, andrelated documents. - Advising on regulations relevant to thebusiness. - Planning, providing and procuring training to regionalstaff on legal issues and on an ad-hoc basis, as part ofestablished training programs. Contentious: - Assisting during allstages of disputes including advice to manage investigation,mediations, arbitration, litigation and enforcement. - Provision oflegal assistance on emergency issues.
