Acumen Academy in Colombia is looking to hire a Program Manager with at least 7 years of relevant experience to execute our local Fellows Program strategy, manage the day-to-day operations of our Fellows Program in Colombia, and ensure sustained impact. The Program Manager will lead the delivery of our curriculum and the cohort in training. The role is based anywhere in Colombia, with travel to in-person encounters 4 times a year for selection conferences, program delivery, and visits to the Bogotá office. About Acumen Latin America Founded in 2013, Acumen Latin America (ALA) is based in Bogotá, focusing on Colombia and Perú. To date, ALA has made 19 investments totaling $11.2 million in sectors like agribusiness, education, and energy, aiming to improve smallholder farmers' livelihoods. Since 2018, ALA has expanded its regional initiatives, including the Fellows program, regional content adaptation, and a leadership program for rural leaders. Role Overview This position is crucial for strengthening Acumen Academy’s impact in the region by overseeing the flagship Fellows Program in Colombia. Responsibilities include managing program operations, leading a team, and fostering community engagement. The role combines strategic planning, team management, curriculum oversight, facilitation, and community building, working closely with the Latin America program lead and global teams. Key Responsibilities Program management and strategy: Understand impact goals, oversee operations, adapt curricula, manage budgets, and support impact measurement and reporting. Team leadership: Lead and coach Analysts and Associates, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning. Outreach and selection: Supervise recruitment, manage evaluation processes, and coordinate selection conferences. Program delivery: Oversee all aspects of program execution, including facilitation, curriculum adaptation, logistics, and participant engagement. Cohort and community building: Design inclusive structures, foster peer connection, and maintain ongoing participant relationships. Monitoring and evaluation: Implement data systems, analyze impact, and share insights and success stories. Qualifications and Skills Minimum 7 years in program management, facilitation, or related fields; community work experience is a plus. Experience managing budgets, teams, and complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Expertise in adult learning, facilitation (online and in-person), and leadership development. Ability to localize curricula within global frameworks, with a strong understanding of Colombia’s socio-political context. Fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills. Experience in event design, online and offline engagement, and data reporting. Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently under pressure. Experience in social sectors like enterprise, peacebuilding, or poverty alleviation is preferred. Familiarity with UX design, CRMs (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and Adobe Suite or Canva is a bonus.
