About The Role We are an e-commerce company that imports finished goods into multi-locational 3PL warehouse providers for distribution to home consumers and Amazon. We currently use QuickBooks Enterprise but will transition to an ERP system in 2025. We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Accountant to manage inventory-related financial processes, ensure accurate reconciliations, and support our upcoming ERP implementation. Responsibilities Prepare and import purchase orders into QuickBooks. Prepare and import item receipts of inventory into QuickBooks. Reconcile inventory by location and record transfers and adjustments. Utilize 3PL data and analyze inventory movement components to investigate discrepancies. Analyze overseas import costs and other inventory-related financial impacts. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and other internal teams within the inventory workflow. Serve as a key member of the ERP transition team (roadmap begins in 2025). Assist with schedules and documentation required for the annual external audit. Requirements (Must-Have Core Competencies) Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent. Minimum of +4 years of experience in inventory accounting and reconciliation, demonstrating a clear understanding of inventory movement, discrepancy causes, and their financial impact. Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities. Experience in a retail, e-commerce, 3PL, or manufacturing environment. (Nice to have) Working knowledge of QuickBooks (MUST HAVE) Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is highly desirable.
