You’ll work with large-scale datasets stored in S3 buckets and processed with PySpark, SQL, and Delta Live Tables to power data-driven decisions across the business. This is a hands-on and impact-driven role, collaborating with product teams and engineers to ensure the accuracy, performance, and scalability of our data infrastructure. **Your Responsibilities**: - Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake. - Leverage Databricks and Delta Live Tables to orchestrate and optimize data workflows across structured and semi-structured datasets. - Manage data storage and access on AWS S3, ensuring data is partitioned, versioned, and cataloged effectively. - Monitor and improve pipeline performance, cost, and reliability through efficient data modeling and job scheduling. - Collaborate with analytics and product teams to understand data needs and deliver clean, consistent datasets for reporting. - Implement data quality and validation checks to ensure high standards of accuracy and completeness. - Contribute to the evolution of our data lake architecture and advocate for best practices in data engineering. **Your Profile**: - 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role working with distributed data systems. - Strong expertise in Databricks, PySpark, and writing efficient SQL for large-scale transformations. - Experience working with data lakes, Delta Lake, and S3-based storage in a production environment. - Proficiency with ELT design patterns and building production-grade data pipelines. - Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Delta Live Tables, Airflow, or similar. - Solid understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM). - Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders. - Nice to have: Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. - Nice to have: Familiarity with Unity Catalog, or data cataloging tools (e.g., AWS Glue Catalog). - Nice to have: Background in building real-time or near-real-time data ingestion systems. **What we offer**: \uD83D\uDC9C **A mission with meaning and purpose** At Uberall, we foster genuine connections between local businesses and people.
