Hiring Department The School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine Gastroenterology Job Description The School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine are pleased to announce an opening for a Sr. Business Ops Associate in the Divisions of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, & Cardiology. The Department of Medicine's mission is to provide the best care to patients; create an excellent educational experience for students, residents, and fellows; and advance the understanding of human illness and disease through creative and collaborative research. The Department offers outstanding facilities, and a dedicated team of physicians, scientists, nurses, and staff members committed to advancement in scientific achievement, clinical service, and medical education in 10 core divisions. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to work collaboratively and independently, and able to work closely with departmental and hospital staff. The candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, interact effectively with staff and faculty, possess initiative and vision, have strong writing skills for reports and plans, and demonstrate professionalism. Job Duties - Oversee all faculty and APP recruitment in collaboration with the School of Medicine recruitment team. Coordinate interview itineraries, travel arrangements, and ensure a smooth interview process. Prepare funds flow and offer letters with guidance from the Business consultant and Fiscal manager. Coordinate onboarding for new faculty, APPs, and staff within the division(s). - Build and maintain clinical schedules, including provider schedule templates and call schedules. Collaborate with MUHC clinical practice managers and service line managers to align clinic and procedural schedules with division requirements. Coordinate with external partners to align clinical activity with contracted professional services. - Focus on faculty wRVU utilization, clinic schedules, MBM efforts, and delinquency reports. Monitor and review clinical productivity using Power BI. - Prepare leadership slides and present at monthly divisional leadership meetings. Update provider dictionary. - Prepare EXT and incentive pay for approval by the Operations manager. Create UP incentive agreements and extra pay agreements. - Assist in preparing the annual divisional budget. Collaborate with the Department Operations manager and finance team to monitor and track UP accounts monthly. Shift Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Office/Admin hours are required. No flexibility for alternative schedules. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 4 years of relevant experience, is necessary.
