Hiring Department The School of Medicine, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine Job Description The School of Medicine, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular Medicine for Electrophysiology. This position involves providing exceptional medical care primarily in our cardiology clinic setting. Key Responsibilities: Independently support Cardiovascular Medicine services. Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff for team-based patient care. Screen patients and assess their conditions and needs. Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. Serve as a resource for patients, families, nursing staff, and healthcare professionals. Develop and implement treatment plans, including managing hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and monitoring heart devices like pacemakers and defibrillators. Perform cardiac tests such as stress tests, echocardiograms, and CT coronary angiograms. Interpret lab and cardiac test results. Prescribe and manage cardiac medications and therapies. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly. Develop discharge plans and coordinate with care management. Perform other duties as assigned. Shift Details Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. No office/admin hours. No flexibility for alternative schedules. Minimum Qualifications Physician Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Anticipated Hiring Range $90,251.20 - $147,284.80, Grade: PAT-012, Title: PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT SPECIALTY CARE. Internal applicants can verify their university title via myHR.
