Job summary The Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building Senior Associate will support the implementation of a national training program to strengthen technical knowledge on climate, environment, social and nature-related risk management, GEDSI integration, and international sustainability standards such as IFRS S1/S2 and TNFD. The role involves coordinating with financial associations, regulatory agencies, and public/private financial institutions to identify capacity gaps, design tailored learning content, lead training and co-creation sessions, and disseminate materials through global platforms such as the Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP) and the Global Coalition on Capacity Building. The Senior Associate will also ensure that GEDSI principles are integrated across all knowledge products and outreach processes. Based in Bogotá, the Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building Senior Associate will play a central role in designing and delivering learning and capacity-building activities under the UK PACT-funded project "Enhancing Climate and Nature Risk Management and Sustainable Finance in Colombia." This is a knowledge centered and stakeholder facing role, contributing to broader institutional change by strengthening Colombia's financial sector capabilities to respond to climate, nature, and social risk. Lead a knowledge-driven and stakeholder-oriented agenda that strengthens the capacity of Colombia's financial sector to effectively address climate, nature, and social risks, thereby contributing to systemic and institutional transformation aligned with sustainable development goals. Coordinate closely with financial associations (Asobancaria, Asomicrofinanzas, Fasecolda, Banco de las Oportunidades) the development of relevant training content. Engage with public institutions and regulatory actors to align capacity-building efforts with national policy goals. Work with project stakeholders to co-design inclusive learning strategies and outreach plans. Participate in multistakeholder events and technical discussions, representing the capacity-building stream of the project. Collaborate with GGGI's global knowledge teams and UK PACT learning networks. Design and lead a comprehensive capacity-building agenda that equip Colombia's financial sector with the tools and knowledge necessary to integrate climate, environmental, social, and nature-related risk management into their operations. Develop and deliver training programs aligned with international sustainability standards and adapted to local needs. Translate complex technical frameworks (e.g., IFRS S1/S2, TNFD) into practical, user-friendly learning content. Coordinating inclusive knowledge-sharing initiatives that reflect Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) principles. Co-creating technical materials in collaboration with key stakeholders to strengthen institutional capabilities. Supporting the dissemination of knowledge products through national and international platforms to amplify impact and promote sustainable finance practices. Conduct training needs assessment in collaboration with financial institutions and associations. Develop technical modules and case-based learning content covering IFRS, TNFD, ESMS, and GEDSI. Establish methodologies and train actors belonging to regulators and financial institutions on issues related to international standards, regulation, risk management instruments for climate, nature, environmental and social issues, design of instruments and inclusion of GEDSI aspects. Produce post-training reports, including evaluation results disaggregated by gender and sector. Systematize lessons learned and contribute to a final project case study on knowledge uptake. Upload and disseminate final training materials and manuals through GGKP and other public platforms. Ensure that all outputs are aligned with the project's logical framework and meet the standards of GGGI and UK PACT. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in education, sociology, economics, law, finance, public policy, international development, or a related field of study. - (Desirable) Post-graduate degree related to capacity building, sociology, anthropology, development, education, knowledge management, or a related field of study. - Knowledge of issues related to the financial sector, ideally regarding regulatory issues and/or international standards. Familiarity with international sustainability standards such as IFRS S1/S2, TNFD, or TCFD is an advantage. - Preferred at least 4-5 years of relevant experience in capacity-building, training design, or stakeholder engagement. Experience in climate finance or ESG-related areas is an advantage. - Demonstrated experience in translating technical content into accessible knowledge formats. - Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. - Experience delivering workshops and training for diverse audiences (public and private sectors). - Colombian nationality or valid work permit to work in Colombia. Working Conditions The Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building Senior Associate is an X7 grade level in GGGI's Colombia Salary Scale, with a full-time commitment (100% FTE) for a duration of 18 months based in Bogotá, Colombia. The salary range for the position starts at USD 22,196. Determination of base salary is subject to the candidate's experience, academic background, and internal equity. In addition to the base salary, the contract includes a 15% contribution toward a retirement or long-term savings plan, 27 days of annual leave, and private health insurance coverage (including dental and vision).
