As we expand into Colombia, we seek a Country Managerto lead with purpose, drive strategic growth, and build a team thatembodies our values. This role will work in a matrix structure,reporting directly to the COO while closely collaborating withother functions. The ideal candidate will have experience inmanaging global technology operations, with a strong understandingof AI, Cloud, and digital transformation services. Keyresponsibilities: - Establish & scale the offshore developmentcenter: Lead the setup, scaling, and operational efficiency of theMedellín offshore center. Define growth strategies to expand thecenter’s impact and expertise in AI-driven digital transformation. Ensure alignment with global objectives, delivering value tocustomers in Europe and the USA. - Build & lead competencycenter teams: Work with global capability leaders to establish andmanage Competency Centers focused on AI, Cloud, Data Engineering,Quality Engineering and Software Development. Work closely withcapability leaders to refine talent and growth strategies. Collaborate with talent acquisition to attract top-tier engineeringtalent. Drive technical excellence and continuous learninginitiatives to enhance team capabilities. - Legal, regulatory &compliance; management: Act as the legal representative for Solvd inColombia, ensuring regulatory compliance. Work closely withexternal legal and tax advisors to oversee contracts, employmentlaws, and corporate governance. Ensure compliance with Colombianlabor laws, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements. - Financial oversight & cost optimization: Oversee financialplanning, budgeting, and cost control for the Colombian entity. Collaborate with corporate finance teams to align with globalfinancial strategies. Ensure the profitability and sustainabilityof the offshore center. - HR, talent management & companyculture: Provide guidance on benefits and social engagement tocreate a better employee experience and to optimize for retention. Foster a strong company culture, ensuring high levels of employeeengagement and retention. - Stakeholder engagement & externalrepresentation: Represent Solvd in Colombia, engaging withgovernment agencies, industry associations, and local partners. Establish partnerships with universities, tech hubs, and AIresearch institutions to strengthen talent pipelines. PromoteSolvd’s brand and reputation as a top employer in Colombia. Qualifications & experience: - 15+ years of experience inmanaging offshore technology delivery centers or similaroperations. - Proven expertise in AI, Cloud, Data Engineering, orSoftware Development. - Strong understanding of Colombian legal,financial, and HR regulations. - Experience working with globalteams and a matrix reporting structure. - Fluent in English &Spanish; (both written and spoken). - Background in scalingtechnology teams and driving competency development. - Exceptionalleadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills. -Experience working with European & US clients is a strongadvantage.
