About the Role – What will you do? This is aunique opportunity for a skilled and motivated professional to join Pathways International’s dynamic LATAM team as a Project Officer. Reporting to the Colombia Country Lead, the successful candidatewill support the advancement of some of the organization’s moststrategic initiatives in the region. Pathways International’s workin Colombia focuses on the development of coordinated, inclusive,and sustainable protection and labour mobility pathways tocountries across the region and globally. Through closecollaboration with national and local governments, UN agencies,civil society, donor governments, the private sector, anddestination countries, the Colombia team is helping to build thepolicy and operational infrastructure required to strengthen/expandthese pathways. These efforts aim to both address local labourmarket needs and expand access to international mobilityopportunities, enhancing overall impact and sustainability. TheProject Officer will play a key role in driving this work forward. In close coordination with the Country Lead, the Officer willsupport the design and implementation of Colombia’s mobilitypathway infrastructure by contributing to rigorous research andanalysis, developing high-impact written materials for a range ofaudiences, and identifying strategic partnerships to strengthen andscale pathways. Additionally, the Project Officer will support thecoordination and logistics of stakeholder engagements—includingconvenings, capacity-building activities, and policy dialogues—withactors across sectors. Internally, the role will support projectplanning and execution, track timelines and deliverables, andcollaborate with colleagues to develop tools, frameworks, andresources that enhance Pathways International’s operationaleffectiveness and policy influence in Colombia. KeyResponsibilities: Policy and Strategic Support - Providehigh-quality research, analysis, and written materials to supportthe Country Lead in Colombia. - Draft briefing notes, policy memos,concept notes, draft reports, proposals, speaking points, and otherwritten products for internal/external use. - Contribute to thedevelopment of organizational strategy in Colombia by supportingthe identification of key stakeholders, alliances, andopportunities to strengthen or create new pathways. - Track andanalyze emerging policy trends and stakeholder positions related tothe international protection framework, complementary pathways orlabor mobility, - Contribute to the inclusion of Gender-BasedAnalysis Plus (GBA+) and intersectionality focus on projectactivities. - Contribute to the implementation of the Monitoringand Evaluation Plan. Partnership and Stakeholder Support and Logistics - Support the coordination and execution of engagements,including convenings, workshops, events, meetings,capacity-building sessions, and speaking opportunities involvinggovernment, civil society, and private sector actors. - Collaboratewith team members to develop engagement strategies, prepareagendas, organize logistics, schedule meetings, and ensure accuratedocumentation through minutes and follow-up communications. -Contribute to the development of training materials and tools tostrengthen the capacity of key stakeholders and partners. -Maintain consistent, professional, and discreet communication withpartners, exercising sound judgment and fostering strong,trust-based relationships. Project Delivery and InternalCoordination - Contribute to the planning and delivery of PathwaysInternational Colombia projects. - Liaise and collaborate with teammembers to advance special projects around labour and protectionpathways, including the development of resources, materials, andtools to share knowledge and advance programmatic goals. - Supportthe development of tools, frameworks, and resources that help Pathways International and its partners advance their objectives. -Manage timelines, deliverables, and coordination for key files, incollaboration with team members across time zones and workstreams. - Maintains appropriate records of materials, meeting/workshopnotes, stakeholder contact information, processes, etc. -Undertakes other duties assigned by the Country Lead Colombia asrequired. About You – Who are we looking for? RequiredQualifications: - A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevantfield such as public policy, political science,internationalaffairs, law, or development studies. - Minimum 4 years of relevantwork experience, ideally in international cooperation, stakeholderengagement, or strategy development. - Demonstrated knowledge ofone or more relevant domains, including forced displacement,socio-economic integration of migrants, labour mobility, migrationgovernance, and complementary pathways. - Strong verbal and writingskills in English and Spanish, with demonstrated experiencedrafting reports, materials and publications. - Strong research andanalytical skills, including the ability to synthesize informationand distill complex ideas clearly and concisely. - Experiencesupporting or engaging with multistakeholder partnerships,including governments, civil society organizations, andinternational institutions. - Detail-oriented self-starter withhighly developed organizational skills, including projectcoordination, information management, and scheduling. - Ability tomanage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectivelyboth independently and collaboratively. - Comfortable workingindependently or as part of a team; ability to understand thebalance between substantive policy support and behind-the-scenescoordination to make strategies and partnerships succeed. -Professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal judgment whenworking with external stakeholders. - Fluency in English and Spanish - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Zoom,MS Teams, SharePoint, and familiarity with AI-enabled tools (e.g.,ChatGPT or similar platforms). Desirable Qualifications: -Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced, and remote-firstenvironments, particularly within globally distributed andmulticultural teams. - Graphic or document design skills (e.g.,PowerPoint layout, brief formatting) are an asset Location - Thisis a remote position to be based in Bogotá.
