Responsibilities - Effectively and efficiently handle a caseload of over 100+ workers’ compensation cases - Negotiate and resolve workers’ compensation cases promptly for top-dollar - Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action - Be able to appropriately communicate with clients - Work with the Case Manager to confirm coverage via e-case or WCC Verify Coverage - Draft, review, and submit WC Forms to the Commission and other parties - Represent Claimants in their hearings as scheduled by the SCWCC - Thoroughly investigate each case, including but not limited to identifying and obtaining statements from witnesses, and obtaining surveillance video - Work with the Case Manager, client, and Nurse Case Manager to ensure the client attends all scheduled doctor’s appointments - Work with the Case Manager to coordinate necessary and reasonable IMEs, as needed Qualifications - Ideal candidate has between 3 and 10 years of Workers' Compensation experience (Plaintiff or Defense) - Must have tried multiple cases in front of the WCC - Able to work independently while handling 100 - 125 cases - Must be currently licensed to practice law in South Carolina - Must excel in client communication and demonstrate strong leadership by effectively guiding staff and providing clear directives based on the needs of the individual case Though we have posted a salary range, we are always willing to discuss additional compensation for candidates with commensurate experience.
