What we do Enso Connect is a guest experience platform for vacation rentals and boutique hotels that seamlessly plugs into property management systems to personalize and monetize interactions throughout the entire guest journey. From AI-driven messaging and contactless check-in to upsells and verification, we are the "Zapier of hospitality" - connecting all the tools you already love while increasing profit per guest. We are a well-funded startup with strong product-market fit and excellent sales momentum. We are expanding rapidly and need to scale our engineering team. Our current tech team is around 12 people. We operate as a true meritocracy where the best ideas win regardless of seniority. We have an energetic culture that moves fast. Every engineer has a voice in technical and product decisions. You will be joining our engineering team to help build this mission-critical system that processes thousands of bookings daily for hospitality businesses worldwide. This is a full-time remote position (38-40 hrs/week) that requires high autonomy and self-direction, with significant ownership over your work and direct connection to business impact and clients. We require overlap of at least 3 hours with EST business hours (9 AM - 5 PM EST). On rare occasions, system outages may require attention outside of regular business hours. Who You Are As a full stack software developer, you will be instrumental in the architecture, design, development, delivery and support of key features and integrations. You will work closely with our development team throughout the entire development lifecycle to solve diverse business & technical challenges. Responsibilities Include: Gathering requirements & feedback from stakeholders (sales, client success, product) to address business & technical challenges Architecting & scoping solutions that strike the right balance between quality and velocity Build and maintain scalable features & improvements end to end, including testing & deployment Managing your tasks & communicating changes in your own timelines pro-actively Monitoring your work post-deploy to ensure a high level of quality and positive feedback from users Collaborate on architecture decisions for a clean and easy to maintain system Participating in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization Qualifications: 4+ years of experience building and maintaining web applications, ideally with a strong backend focus. Strong understanding of software architecture, event-driven systems, and RESTful APIs. Comfortable designing and implementing features end-to-end, including architecture, infrastructure, frontend/backend logic, testing, and deployment. Experience working in a cloud-native environment, ideally with AWS Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, OpenSearch, and serverless Framework. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, testing (unit, integration), and monitoring tools like DataDog or CloudWatch. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. You enjoy working closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and support teams. Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor, etc) to accelerate development and improve engineering workflows. Nice To Haves Experience creating and modifying end to end integrations using API specifications and UX guidelines. Serverless infrastructure experience, specifically AWS & FaaS Experience working at startups / Proptech Experience working directly with the customer / end user to triage problems. Bonus if you are available for occasional in-person work in downtown Toronto, but you would be required to have a overlap of at least 3 hours with EST business hours. Why Us?
