Gerente de Ventas The Groups Sales Manager is responsible for generating business by prospecting and securing accounts on behalf of the hotel, aligned with the objectives and strategies outlined in the Annual Marketing Plan and in collaboration with WSO efforts. This role also involves securing key industry travel sources and ensuring sales activities focus on maximizing RevPar for overall hotel success. The position requires independent judgment and discretion in decision-making. Responsibilities Identify and target clients that generate business for the hotel. Develop new and existing accounts. Negotiate, draft, generate, and confirm contracts for group segments to meet hotel revenue goals. Use company programs, sales development, and client events to support sales team development. Create and execute account plans for assigned markets to maximize revenue and meet targets. Prioritize active selling, solicitation, and business development. Plan activities efficiently and meet deadlines. Maintain thorough knowledge of the property and its features, advantages, and benefits. Conduct site visits to identify client needs and present solutions to maximize bookings and build strong client relationships. Utilize sales tools provided by the company. Coordinate cross-selling with catering and group sales managers as needed. Participate in sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and leadership meetings. Respond promptly to all client communications. Follow up on pending and confirmed business details. Track reservations throughout the sales process, including contract signing. Develop and implement quarterly and annual action plans. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Maintain a professional appearance and conduct in a mature, businesslike manner representing the hotel and our philosophies. Problem-solving skills. High attention to detail, quality monitoring, and obsessive customer service orientation. Ability to receive and share constructive criticism. Advanced reading, writing, and spoken English skills. Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Delphi, Opera, internet, etc. Professional degree, preferably in Marketing and Sales or related fields. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or related areas. Must have a valid work permit.
