Learn more at somewhere.com Title: Shopify Senior Technical Product Manager, E-Commerce Our client is seeking a highly technical and strategically minded Senior Technical Product Manager to own the end-to-end success of their Shopify-based e-commerce ecosystem. This role reports directly to the VP of Digital & eCommerce and serves as the connective tissue between in-house developers, third-party platforms, and cross-functional business teams. You’ll lead the planning, execution, and optimization of the company’s digital infrastructure—ensuring that systems are scalable, high-performing, and well-integrated to deliver a best-in-class customer experience. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, as you’ll collaborate directly with a development team based in Latin America. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical Product Ownership - Serve as the primary product owner of the e-commerce tech stack, including: Shopify, Airtable (PIM), Cin7 (inventory), ReDo (returns), Klaviyo, Attentive, and analytics platforms such as Power BI and Google Cloud Platform. - Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and implementation plans. Cross-Functional Strategy & Execution - Partner with Digital, Creative, CX, Operations, and Retention teams to define priorities, assess feasibility, and deliver high-impact solutions that drive conversion, retention, and operational efficiency. - Manage and communicate clear product roadmaps, timelines, and trade-offs. Team Leadership & Agile Delivery - Lead and mentor a 2-person development team (LATAM-based), overseeing sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization. - Own QA processes, deployment readiness, and production rollouts. Systems & Process Optimization - Continuously improve the integration, automation, and performance of digital systems. - Define and enforce best practices in documentation, QA, version control, and release management. Solution Architecture & Platform Integrations - Lead evaluations and decision-making for third-party tools and API integrations (e.g., fulfillment, CX, marketing platforms). - Make business cases for in-house development where appropriate. - Ensure scalability, stability, and seamless data flow across platforms. Performance & Reliability - Monitor and ensure platform health—site uptime, load speed, and core functionality. - Own incident response coordination and performance metrics. - Implement A/B testing strategies and conduct post-launch analysis to support CRO initiatives. Ability to Code (Bonus) - While this role is primarily focused on product leadership, the ideal candidate can read and write code when needed—particularly within the Shopify ecosystem (Liquid, JavaScript, React)—to support more effective troubleshooting and collaboration with developers. QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of experience in digital product management, technical project management, or e-commerce systems leadership, ideally within a Shopify environment. - Deep understanding of front-end and back-end eCommerce architecture; ability to speak fluently with developers about Liquid, React, Shopify APIs, and modern dev workflows (Git, staging, CLI). - Experience managing and scaling eCommerce platforms including Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, Airtable, ReDo, Attentive, Cin7, Power BI, and GCP. - Proven success leading dev teams and managing complex systems across sprints, platform upgrades, and product launches. - Familiarity with CRO best practices and performance measurement frameworks. - Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong cross-cultural communication skills. - Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments with shifting priorities and ambitious goals.
