We aim to make sourcing easier and seamless, powering Walmart's ecosystem. Job Description We are seeking a Sourcing Manager to oversee the sourcing process, execute Merchant strategies, and develop regional supplier capabilities aligned with the global sourcing strategy. You’ll Make an Impact By: Developing Complex Sourcing Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., merchants, planners) to understand item growth, align sourcing strategies with the merchant's annual operating plan (AOP), and incorporate company growth strategies such as direct import (DI). Creating Vendor Decision Matrices: Evaluate vendors based on performance metrics and potential, developing decision matrices to support these evaluations. Cost Analysis: Analyze the cost impact of commodities/products, track awarded vs. actual costs, and inform planners and merchants of cost-affecting conditions. Developing Strategic Vendor Relationships: Identify and maintain supplier relationships that meet financial, ethical, and sustainability standards. Conduct quarterly reviews and manage vendor issues. Minimum Qualifications Experience in food global sourcing, especially perishables, and supply chain knowledge. Produce sourcing experience is preferred. Skills include strategic leadership, planning, teamwork, and proficiency in conversational English. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. Relevant certifications in supply chain or sourcing management. Experience in large-scale retail or sourcing environments.
