As a Python Engineer, you will develop backend systems that support enterprise services, enhancing consumer experience, driving loyalty, and boosting revenue. Position Title: Mid to Mid+ Level Python Engineer Location: Remote - Colombia What you will be doing: As a Python Engineer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the backend systems that support critical enterprise services for New Business Models. These services are integral to powering the product ecosystem and are designed to create a more connected and frictionless consumer experience. Your work will directly contribute to driving loyalty enrollment and ultimately increasing revenue generation, aligning with the company’s strategic goals. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain backend services using Python to support the product ecosystem. Build and integrate REST APIs for internal and external data exchanges. Design and optimize MySQL database systems for backend functionalities. Deploy and maintain applications on AWS infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for high performance. Contribute to architectural decisions and development best practices. Requirements & Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess: 3+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python. Strong experience with MySQL (database design and optimization). Proficiency in AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.). Hands-on experience in developing REST APIs. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies. Desired Skills: Knowledge of FastAPI framework for building APIs. Experience with Liquibase for database version control. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. Exposure to cloud-based deployment tools and CI/CD pipelines.
