The Director Business Finance is a strategic member of the American Tower Global Finance team, serving as a business advisor and partner to the General Manager and executive team, focused on advancing the company's overall agenda, increasing shareholder value, enabling new business opportunities and driving efficiency efforts. The Director has overall responsibility for financial performance management and leadership of in-market Finance functions for the Central, Andean and South markets. The incumbent oversees business support activities, reporting and planning activities, ensuring the preservation of company assets and the accuracy of financial reporting. The Finance Director is expected to challenge the business's way of thinking, seeking insights that might open the company to new business and revenue opportunities. - Establish, drive and take ownership over the company overall financial strategy and performance, aligned with the company's plan for growth and expansion, focused on achieving both financial and non-financial goals and objectives. - Act as a strategic advisor to the GM, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth and operational efficiency. Enable business opportunities by advising on deals with customers and strategic partners. - Work closely with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's goals. Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic initiatives and business development efforts. - Respond for the accuracy and integrity of all financial information and controls presented to the market and corporate teams, enabling effective decision-making process by the GM and leadership team. - Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies. - Coordinate annual financial planning to maximize value for clients and shareholders. - Collaborate with the Function Heads/Leadership (Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Accounting, Tax, etc.) to ensure cohesive financial management. - Maintain indirect responsibility for these functions, ensuring alignment with overall financial strategy and objectives. - Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company's financial health and stability. - Develop and implement policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations. - Monitor financial results, analyze deviations, and propose corrective actions. - Support business development plans for expansion and growth. - Advise on the company's strategic plan and provide financial insights into plans and budgets. - Provide executive reports to the GM, Executive team, and Intl Board for effective decision-making. - Oversee strategic business plans for M&As; and other studies, advising during negotiations. - Represent the company to financial partners, auditors, and officials. - Supervise and manage the performance of the FP&A; team in multiple countries. - Provide disciplined performance management for team. - Define and communicate annual goals, perform formal and informal performance reviews, and ensure changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner. - Create strong collaborative team environment. - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economy, Engineering or related field - MBA in Corporate Finance, Management or other related fields - 5+ years of experience as a CFO in a multinational corporation. - 10+ of financial management experience, having managed multiple financial team members in a leadership capacity - Experience in a matrix organization and working with global teams is highly desirable. - Proven experience with business restructuring and reorganization, supporting mergers and acquisitions' process. - Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff. - Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills - Strong analytical skills paired with strategic business acumen and application - Ability to negotiate with and influence peers, members of a cross-functional team and senior management. - Ability to formally present business strategies and action plans. - Successful record of building and leading high-performance teams in an operating finance environment - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization - Strong organizational and project management skills, with proven track record of executing key initiatives - Working knowledge of telecommunication and tower industry skills.
