Job Summary: We are searching for a Test Technician to handle the testing of products developed by our company for public release. In this role, you will be required to plan, conduct, and report on testing done to products under development as well as provide advice and feedback to relevant stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Interact with other functional groups (e.g. engineering, manufacturing) on routine technical matters - Set up and operate various test stands - Configure test equipment for special tests as needed - Interpret and record test results - Recognize and isolate test equipment failures - Take electrical measurements to determine select resistors using strong math skills - Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level - Read and interpret technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics - Effectively communicate work status to team members and support staff - Perform technical tasks based on detailed written or verbal instructions - Utilize limited variety of microelectronic, electronic, optical, electro-optical, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment - Perform entry-level troubleshooting, calibration or modification of hardware, fixtures, and software - Participate on project teams - Prioritize tasks - Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of products, devices, tests, or procedures - Support activities through the resolution of problems and preparation and maintenance of documentation - Manage workflow throughout area to achieve team goals - Evaluate and troubleshoot non-conformances - Fabricate hardware, equipment, tools or prototypes from drawings or sketches - Estimate labor, material, and manufacturing costs for the building and repair of product or process enhancement - Provide accurate recording of time changes, test data, parts usage, etc. Requirements: - A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or an Associate degree in technical area: Electronic Engineering, Electronics - Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written) - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract What We Offer: - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - Three weeks of vacation for newly hired employees - Generous 401(k) plan that includes employer matching funds - Participation in the Employee Scholar Program (ESP) - Life insurance and disability coverage - Employee Assistance Plan, including up to 8 free counseling sessions About Us: Collins Aerospace is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
