Throughout the world, our flagship Allen-Bradley® and Rockwell Software® product brands are recognized for innovation and excellence._ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Works to understand how customers use the product, and then uses that knowledge to drive improvements in the product. Also able to learn and understand basic control system concepts. - Develops and maintains mockups, wireframes, scenarios, prototypes, navigation maps and other design artifacts. Validates designs with more senior designers. - Defines innovative user interfaces and interaction styles which result in improved user productivity and deliver business value. Validates designs with more senior designers. - Improves, standardizes, and institutionalizes the user-centered creativity and design methodology. - Understands and stays current with trends and best practices in the user experience / usability and automation design domains. - Leverages user research and collaborates with product management teams to translate business and marketing goals into the best software solutions for our business. - Keeps informed of new developments in the user experience design field. Participates in technical and developmental training opportunities. - Helps develop, evolve, and maintain UI standards and guidelines. - Evaluates and recommends new tools and methods to support the work of the User Experience Design Team. - Clearly communicates and conveys design concepts, presentations and written deliverables, both verbally and written. - Effectively teams with others through mutually supportive professional relationships, open and direct communications, honesty and respect. Able to cope with and leverage personality differences and differences of opinion. - Takes ownership of assignments by understanding expected outcomes, requesting help as needed. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor’s degree in interaction/user experience design, human factors, cognitive or behavioral science, or related discipline required (or equivalent demonstrated experience and expertise). **EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**: - Must have four or more years of experience in interaction/user experience design for interactive software products. - Must have good communication and presentation skills. - Portfolio of work /samples of interaction design work required. - Experience using Figma® and prototyping tools desired.
