Job Summary: We are seeking an experiencedAI Engineering Manager to lead our AI/ML Data Engineering team andcollaborate with Cloud, Frontend, Backend, and DevSecOps teams. Reporting to the Chief AI Officer (CAIO), this role balancestechnical vision and leadership with operational execution. The AIEngineering Manager will drive AI solution development, apply thescientific process to product improvement, and ensure clearcommunication across teams and leadership. They will overseetechnical design & project timelines, manage requirements andfeatures, delegate tasks, track progress, and ensure on-timedelivery while mentoring talent and managing stakeholderexpectations. This hands-on leader will manage complex AI productlifecycles in a fast-paced startup, ensuring we deliver uniquevalue to enterprise clients and strengthen our industry leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Recruit, mentor, and develop ahigh-performing, diverse AI/ML and Data engineering team—fosteringcollaboration, continuous learning, and clear performance metricsto drive retention in a fast-paced environment - Champion technicalexcellence by applying first principles thinking and data-drivenproblem solving, enforcing rigorous code reviews, automatedtesting, and comprehensive documentation while promoting Agentic,MLOps, and LLMOps best practices - Implement Agile methodologies toconduct regular gap analyses and risk assessments, transformingprocess deficiencies into stable processes - Collaborate with theCAIO to define and execute a technical roadmap that balancescutting-edge AI product development with enterprise-gradereliability, security, and performance, while integrating emergingtrends - Oversee the entire AI product lifecycle—fromproof-of-concept through production deployment, monitoring, anditerative improvement—ensuring alignment with business objectives,client needs, and industry standards - Manage product timelines,resource allocation, and deliverables through effective taskmanagement, delegation, and milestone tracking, while maintaininghigh team morale - Serve as an AI liaison for internalstakeholders, proactively communicating progress, identifyingrisks, and diffusing tensions through transparent documentation andopen dialogue - Embrace a product owner mindset to prioritize tasksand manage the product backlog, aligning technical development withstrategic business goals - Drive product evolution by providinginsights on scalable architecture, governance, and advancedLLM/Agentic techniques, shaping a forward-thinking AI vision thatanticipates future trends - Establish and monitor clear KPIs andperformance metrics through regular reviews and retrospectives toensure accountability and continuous improvement - Fostercross-functional collaboration across Data, AI, Backend, DevSecOps,QA, and Frontend teams via structured communication and transparentreporting, ensuring cohesive alignment across the organization -Cultivate innovation by promoting experimentation, calculatedrisk-taking, and continuous feedback loops that leverage dataanalytics to refine models, processes, and products Required Skills& Experience: - Bachelor's in Computer Science, SoftwareEngineering, or a related field - 5 - years of hands-on AIengineering (GenAI, Agents, LLMOps, MLOps, Data Science, CV, NLP,etc.) - 3 - years of AI leadership experience with a dual focus ontechnical excellence and product management (e.g., AI ProductOwner/ AI Product Manager) - 3 - years managing/implementing MLOpsin enterprise-scale AI/ML deployments - 1 - years in Agentic AIimplementation/management (multi-agent systems, generative AI,LLMOps) - Proven ability to manage backlogs, prioritize features,and develop product roadmaps to drive effective execution andcontinuous improvement - Experience leveraging customer feedbackand market insights (via surveys, usability tests, interviews) torefine product strategy and enhance offerings - Proven ability tomanage and scale remote AI/ML teams (10 - members) in dynamic,high-pressure environments with strong delegation and conflictresolution - Exceptional product management, resource planning,timeline management, risk mitigation, and cross-functionalalignment skills - Outstanding communication and ethical leadershipwith a commitment to accountability and continuous improvement -Proven ability to operationalize AI product management using toolslike Jira and Confluence - Proficiency in English at a C2 levelPreferred Qualifications: - Master's, PhD, or MBA in AI - Solidbackground in cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCPcontainerization, infrastructure as code). - Hands-on experiencetaking AI Agents to production - Deep understanding of Agents (RAG,LLM best practices, security, memory management, failure points) -Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization(e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (e.g.,Terraform, Pulumi) - Experience with big data architectures oncloud platforms (e.g., EMR, Kafka, microservices,streaming/batches) - Prior experience in fast-paced startups orhigh-growth tech companies - Advanced proficiency in Python - Priorexperience as an AI Product Owner - Advanced expertise with LLMOps - Strong first principles thinking and adherence to AI developmentbest practices - High-level understanding of UX best practices - Apassion for continuous learning and staying current with emergingAI trends, cloud-native architectures, and innovative deploymentmethodologies Find Remote Jobs Faster Every listing checked byexperts.
