Passion, innovation, and diversity are all key components to advancing our Mission and we encourage you to apply. **YOUR POSITION WITH TNC**: The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Latin America Region’s Certified Contracts Specialist program and supporting Money-Out Agreements across the region. They will support staff in evaluation, creation, design, and/or improvement initiatives that seek to identify procedural, control, strategic, and performance opportunities and/or deficiencies, resulting in recommendations for and implementation of improvement opportunities. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**: **RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE**: - Directly supervise between four and eight full-time Certified Contracts Specialists and support in-direct reports and part-time specialists; - Provide limited (~20% time commitment) direct Certified Contracts Specialist support by drafting, reviewing, and editing money-out agreements for TNC programs; - Perform capacity and workloads assessments to anticipate changes in staffing demands; - Ensure TNC policies and procedures and external (donor/legal/financial) requirements are met and managed for compliance; - Build cooperation with internal parties to implement program’s vision and strategic goals; - Work within a budget; negotiate internally across programs and teams; - Manage and implement projects, including managing budget, setting deadlines and ensuring accountability; - Act independently and in supervisor’s stead as needed exercising independent judgment to identify and solve problems; decisions may have organization-wide impact and affect staff in multiple program areas; - Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information; - May participate in complex negotiations; - Travel and work long and flexible hours as needed; - Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain; and - Work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**: - Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience in similar positions or equivalent combination; - Fluency in two of the three following languages: English, Spanish, and Portuguese - Experience preparing, approving, managing, or otherwise working with grants and/or contracts; - Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting the data; - Experience working with budgets; - Supervisory experience; - Experience managing and implementing multiple projects; - Experience working with cross-functional teams; and - Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS** - Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English; - Experience recruiting, supervising and managing multiple staff and/or teams; - Ability to work in partnership with others in a collaborative or advisory role; - Ability to lead and influence without authority - Advanced knowledge in current and evolving technology related to field of experience; - Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and document new and/or improved processes and effectively communicate benefits; - Demonstrated ability to write for various audiences and excellent presentation skills; - Knowledge of current trends in Contracts/Grants, preferably in a non-profit environment; - Proficiency in interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results; - Strong organization skills, time management, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks; and/or - Successful experience in managing multiple projects and implementing strategic program goals. **APPLY NOW**: **The Nature Conservancy is an Equal Opportunity Employer**.
