Regional HR Director | Volcafe | Bogota, Colombia Home/ Coffee / Regional HR Director | Volcafe | Bogota, Colombia RoleOverview We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us asa Regional HR Director, based preferably in Bogota, Colombia towork in a truly global environment to head the HR team for thecoffee division within Latin America reporting to the Global HRDirector in Switzerland. We are seeking an experienced HR leader tobe accountable for the full delivery of human resources servicesincluding recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits,employee engagement, learning and development, and employeerelations/welfare and performance management, as well as being acommercial partner to the business. This position offers a broadspectrum of opportunity, scope, commercial activity, and authority. Key AccountabilitiesAccountable for the full delivery of human resources servicesincluding recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits,employee engagement, learning and development, employee relationsand welfare, and performance management. The population consists ofoffice, mill, factory, and warehouse employees spread over fivecountries: Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras. -Strategic Business Partnering: Proactively build and maintainstrong relationships with the business leadership teams, offeringstrategic support and guidance on HR-related matters to align withorganizational goals. - HR Strategy Implementation: Collaboratewith the Global HR Director to develop and execute short andlong-term HR strategies, including establishing objectives,policies, and operating procedures to drive HR excellence. - HRTeam Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the local HR team,ensuring high performance and effective HR service delivery. -Organizational Development: Spearhead organizational and manpowerdevelopment initiatives, focusing on talent development, successionplanning, and supporting a high-growth dynamic businessenvironment. - Regional HR Service Center Establishment: Set up andmanage a shared HR service center for the region to centralize andstreamline HR functions. - Employee Engagement Enhancement:Innovate and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement,including developing comprehensive engagement plans andrelationship-building activities. - Talent Acquisition andRecruitment: Oversee the Senior recruitment process, ensuring theattraction and selection of high-caliber candidates to meet theorganization’s staffing needs and growth objectives. - Compensationand Benefits Management: Design and implement cost-effective andcompetitive compensation and benefits programs, regularlyconducting market analyses to ensure organizationalcompetitiveness. - Effective Internal Communication: Facilitaterobust internal communication channels, ensuring seamlessinformation flow across all levels of the organization. - HRDocumentation Oversight: Manage the preparation and maintenance ofessential HR documents, including employment contracts, employeehandbooks, and safety guidelines. - Payroll and BenefitsAdministration: Coordinate with external vendors for the efficientadministration of payroll and benefits, ensuring accuracy andcompliance. - HR Audit and Compliance: Lead HR audit processes,ensuring all practices align with company policies and regulatoryrequirements. - HR Policy Development: Formulate and implement HRpolicies and systems that are aligned with corporate standards,competitive in the market, and compliant with local labor laws. -External HR Relations: Establish and maintain relationships withHR-related government bodies and community organizations, enhancingthe organization’s external HR network. - Diversity and InclusionInitiatives: Develop and promote diversity and inclusion programsto foster an equitable and inclusive workplace culture. - EmployeeTraining and Development: Implement comprehensive training andprofessional development programs to enhance employee skills andcareer growth. - Employee Wellness Programs: Create and manageemployee wellness initiatives to support employee health andwell-being. Skills & Experience The successful candidate willbe able to lead a team and operate in an entrepreneurial andhands-on capacity. The ideal candidate will be energetic,ambitious, and bright, possessing a high level of enthusiasm; ableto work collaboratively with a diverse client population. - HRManagement Experience: A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, witha focus on strategic HR management in a regional or global context. - Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term HRstrategies that align with organizational goals. - Leadership andTeam Management: Proven experience in leading, mentoring, anddeveloping HR teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performingenvironment. - Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and writtencommunication abilities, essential for effective internal andexternal interactions. - Organizational Development Expertise:Strong skills in manpower planning, talent development, andsuccession planning, with a track record of successfulorganizational and manpower development projects. - EmployeeEngagement and Relationship Building: Expertise in designing andexecuting employee engagement strategies and programs, buildingstrong relationships across the organization. - Talent Acquisitionand Talent Management: Proficiency in recruiting strategies,candidate selection, and talent acquisition. Experience in managingrecruitment processes and talent management systems. - Compensationand Benefits Management: Knowledge of compensation structures,benefits administration, and market benchmarking. Previousexperience in designing and managing compensation and benefitsprograms. - Regulatory Compliance and Policy Formulation:Understanding of local and international HR laws, regulations, andthe ability to develop and implement HR policies. Experience informulating and revising HR policies in line with organizationaland regulatory requirements. - Analytical and Problem-SolvingSkills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve complexHR-related issues. - Change Management: Skills in managing andfacilitating organizational change. - HR Audits: Experience inconducting and managing HR audits. - Diversity and Inclusion:Experience in developing and promoting diversity and inclusioninitiatives. - Training and Development: Experience in creating andimplementing employee training and development programs. Educational Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in human resources,Business Administration, or a related field is typically required. - Advanced degrees or certifications in Human Resources, such as anMBA or PHR/SPHR certification, are desirable.
