Job Description This position is a key role in the Regional Treasury group. The AbbVie Treasury group is headquartered in the Northern suburbs of Chicago. This position will be located in Bogotá, Colombia, and will be responsible for Region North, Caribbean, and Central America. The position will report to the Director, Treasury Latin America in Chicago. The candidate must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and work under time pressures. The ideal candidate should enjoy seeking new opportunities while also dealing with significant challenges. The candidate should have a strong capability in Latin America cash management operations. Such a candidate would be expected to oversee the regional cash operations for Region North, Caribbean, and Central America. The candidate should preferably have experience in local regulations for the region regarding foreign currency transactions. The position will act as a liaison between Treasury and local affiliates, capturing regional needs and ensuring that corporate procedures are adopted locally. Primary Responsibilities Manage short-term liquidity, including daily cash positioning, wire payments, and short-term cash forecasting. Ensure appropriate capital structure. Coordinate and implement the Entity Plan and LRCP. Coordinate payments, receipts, and transfers with various internal groups. Coordinate with banks to manage transactions and services. Negotiate, analyze, and manage bank fees. Invest surplus funds into money market funds. Manage FX exposure. Execute hedging contracts. Ensure proper controls are developed and maintained. Manage 1-3 junior/senior analysts. Qualifications Minimum of seven years of experience, with at least four in international treasury operations. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills required. Experience with a comprehensive treasury management system required. Experience with SAP Treasury system strongly preferred. Advanced English Skills Education Requirements BA/BS (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or Accounting. An MBA will be considered a plus.
