APPLICATIONS ENGINEER WILMINGTON, MA (LS-376)

Seurat Technologies

Seurat Technologies is transforming manufacturing for people and our planet by delivering a scalable additive manufacturing solution to fundamentally change how products are made. The company's proprietary Area Printing process, developed at Lawrence Livermore National Labs (LLNL), allows metal components to be manufactured at price points and quality levels that compete directly with conventional manufacturing techniques. - This enables the reshoring of supply chains and promotes the decarbonization of industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in additive manufacturing, with expertise in design for additive manufacturing (DFAM), various post-processing techniques specifically for AM, and analytical characterization of printed parts. The role requires collaboration with Seurat's process, materials and application engineers and providing feedback during the iterations of designing, testing, and part manufacturing. - The successful candidate will also be responsible for characterizing printed parts using inspection equipment, resolving design-related issues, developing post-processing workflows, generating and finalizing part designs, and integrating design processes into product development workflows. The job involves staying up-to-date with advancements in metal 3D printing technologies, materials, and design methodologies, and evaluating new tools and techniques to improve processes and outcomes. Key requirements include a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical discipline, 5+ years of professional experience with additive manufacturing, and proficiency in software such as nTopology, Magics, Netfabb, and SolidWorks.
