Job Description You will be responsible for managing projects and scheduling for selected IT initiatives, providing mentorship to other IT staff in project management skills, particularly in applying O-I’s project management standards, techniques, and methodologies. Additionally, this role will focus on problem management activities ranging from individual issue resolution to project-based initiatives that enhance IT service delivery. Principal Accountabilities Serve as IT Project Manager on initiatives (both infrastructure and business-driven), applying standard project management practices including cost, schedule, risk, communication, accountability, and resource management. Tasks include: Develop project work breakdown structures considering priorities and risks. Report on project and problem status to stakeholders as per schedule. Conduct project reviews with sponsors and customers, and report at monthly IT Operations Reviews and stage-gate meetings. Estimate, plan, and track budgets, managing financial approvals and procurements. Coordinate Change Readiness activities related to projects or problems. Align project management plans with business or vendor teams when applicable. Participate in peer reviews of project management processes. Ensure projects and problems are managed according to O-I standards, mentoring project leaders as needed. Refine and establish IT project and problem management procedures and standards, providing training as necessary. Maintain knowledge of current IT tools relevant to project and problem management, and train others on their application. Proactively work with IT teams to identify, prioritize, and address issues within IT services. Scope and Impact This role has global accountability for supporting and mentoring IT project and problem management across all disciplines. It involves initiatives of varying risk, technology, and duration, potentially impacting multiple locations or regions. The incumbent may also coach junior project managers and other IT staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years of broad IT experience, with a proven track record in delivering major IT initiatives, including at least three years leading projects. Solid knowledge of project management methodologies for at least 3 years. Working towards or attained PMI (or equivalent) certification. Business acumen and understanding of project context, customer focus, and IT dependencies. Experience preparing project plans, schedules, and cost-benefit analyses using tools like MS Project, Lotus Notes, MS Office, etc. Experience with SAP Project Systems is preferred. Strong project management skills, including risk assessment, estimation, planning, quality assurance. Ability to influence colleagues across IT functions and develop effective relationships globally. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, and issue management. Experience in building strategic relationships, developing others, facilitating workshops, training, and delivering presentations. Additional Information Hybrid Work Model: Employees work on-site at our office in Centro Comercial Viva, Envigado, 2 days per week, and remotely for the remaining 3 days.
