Position: ODA Specialist - KEXIM Bogotá Office Post of Duty: KEXIM Bogotá Office, Bogotá, Colombia We are seeking a proactive and motivated professional to join our team as an ODA Specialist. This role will contribute to the successful implementation of ODA infrastructure projects in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and strengthen collaboration between LAC countries and the Republic of Korea. The KEXIM Bogotá Office oversees ODA infrastructure projects and financial operations across Colombia, Bolivia, Honduras, El Salvador, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and other partner LAC countries. The Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM) is an Export Credit Agency headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. KEXIM’s core mandate is to provide financial support for Korean companies' export and import activities, fostering sustainable economic growth through Official Development Assistance (ODA) to partner countries. The Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) is KEXIM’s ODA loan facility, providing direct financial support to partner governments for infrastructure projects. With 32 overseas offices worldwide, KEXIM plays a critical role in financing infrastructure projects. As an ODA Specialist, you will facilitate communication between KEXIM and LAC partner organizations while supporting project operations. Key responsibilities include: - Providing Spanish-English consecutive interpretation during meetings and drafting meeting notes. - Coordinating meetings, events, and business trips, maintaining strong relationships with existing partners and establishing new connections. - Analyzing current affairs in Latin America, summarizing and providing analysis upon request. - Reviewing project documents (Minutes of Discussion, Loan Agreements, Project Reports) and offering relevant analysis. - Monitoring EDCF projects, maintaining close contact with government focal points, and providing project updates. **Education**: - Bachelor’s degree in development studies, international relations, diplomacy, economics, engineering, or a related field. - A graduate degree is preferred. **Experience**: - At least one year of work experience in government, infrastructure projects, Official Development Assistance (ODA)-related work, Multilateral Development Banks (MDB), Korean institutions, public procurement, bidding processes or relevant field. Languages: - Fluent in both Spanish and English Relationship Building: - Ability to proactively cultivate networks with partner organizations, working effectively and cooperatively with all stakeholders, nurturing strong relationships at all organizational levels. Understanding of Latin American Current Affairs - Understanding of political, economic and social situations in the Latin American context.
