Job Title: Automation Test Purpose of Job The Automation Tester develops and maintains automation scripts for UI, SOA/Restful services, and back-end systems to support testing of bank systems and applications. Responsibilities include maintaining the regression suite, executing tests before production releases, and monitoring pipeline executions across branches. The Automation Test reports to the Testing and Automation Manager/Lead. Major Accountabilities Review requirements, specifications, help files, and documentation to ensure quality in products and tests. Develop and execute automated test cases using languages like Java, JavaScript, VB Script, Python, etc. Perform code reviews, static analysis, and manage pull requests to ensure high-quality automation code. Document and report bugs immediately upon discovery. Identify focus areas for regression testing and guide team members on automation opportunities. Assist with feasibility analysis for automating new modules. Review test strategies, estimations, and closure reports, providing feedback to supervisors. Manage defect processes for technical testing and regression projects. Follow coding best practices and participate in code reviews. Recommend improvements for testing processes and explore emerging technologies. Assist with manual testing and defect logging when needed. Participate in team meetings and provide status updates. Support testing activities outside regular hours as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Education/Work Experience Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 1-3 years experience with SDLC and TDLC frameworks. 1-3 years experience in test automation/development roles. Manual testing experience and knowledge. Technical Skills Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall methodologies. Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and scripting languages. Experience with automation scripting, debugging, and test tools like Selenium, JMeter, SoapUI. Understanding of web technologies and databases. Proficiency in MS Office tools. Abilities Ability to work independently and in teams. Proven results in dynamic environments. Mentoring and knowledge sharing skills. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Attributes Excellent communication skills in English. Dimensions & Working Conditions Decisions on testing approaches are made independently. The role involves high discretion, adherence to deadlines, and occasional overtime. The incumbent may need to support after-hours activities and work in an office environment with typical conditions.
