If you want to be part of this important mission, we want to hear from you. **Responsibilities**: - Collect and maintain accurate Software Licensing information in repositories to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost. - Identify savings opportunities through software re-harvesting and license optimization. - Manage ServiceNow incidents, requests, and asset management workflow functions by taking ownership, prioritizing incoming work, and delivering services under Service Level Agreement timelines. - Respond to requests from business owners, end users, managers, and other team members for specific IT Software Asset Management information. - Work with the business owner(s) to manage enterprise License true-up & reconciliations. Stay informed of new and updated software license models and options for key manufacturer products and communicate to team members. - Assist in risk and cost reduction opportunities and make recommendations to Software Owners and IT leadership to optimize the software asset portfolio. Must-haves: - Minimum of 3 years relevant IT experience. - Higher education may substitute for relevant experience. - Strong experience with Microsoft Office. - Strong experience managing 3rd party licenses software. - Experience using IT Service Management (i.e. ServiceNow, Remedy) systems. - Understanding and experience with various software licensing models, renewals, methodologies, and procedures. - Understanding of software discovery tools. - Understanding of how enterprise software licenses are purchased and renewed. - Solid understanding of Software Asset Management principals and best practices. - Detailed oriented with the ability to manage many simultaneous work efforts in a matrixed organization. - Excellent written & verbal communication and documentation skills. - Experience working with vendors to obtain relevant quotes and comparing options. - Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information. **Skills**: - Fluency in English both written and spoken. - Must be mature and tactful. - Must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude. - Must be a team player. - Excellent listening and customer service skills. - Excellent analytic and logical thinking. - Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Understanding of commercial terms. Varian is required to comply with all local and applicable regulations that may be associated with vaccine requirements for certain roles.
