Position Summary We are seeking a Structural Drafter to support the design and documentation of our precast concrete components. You will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed structural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, working closely with our engineers and production team. In this role, you will work directly under the company’s licensed Professional Engineer (PE), who will provide hands-on guidance, technical training, and mentorship. Key Responsibilities ·Prepare detailed structural and architectural precast concrete drawings for residential and commercial projects. ·Develop shop drawings, fabrication drawings, erection plans, and connection details using Revit and AutoCAD. ·Collaborate with the PE, engineers, architects, and production staff to translate design concepts into buildable plans. ·Revise and update drawings based on redlines, field changes, and engineering markups. ·Ensure drawing packages comply with applicable codes (ACI, PCI, IBC) and company drafting standards. ·Assist with the organization and maintenance of CAD/Revit templates, content libraries, and file management systems. ·Contribute to the development of efficient drafting workflows and innovative precast systems. Qualifications ·Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Architectural Technology, Civil/Structural Technology, or a related field. ·2–5+ years of experience drafting structural or precast components in a professional engineering or fabrication environment. ·Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (required). ·Familiarity with precast concrete detailing, reinforcement, and construction practices. ·Basic understanding of structural principles, load paths, and construction documents. ·Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings. ·Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and drawing organization. ·Effective communicator and collaborator in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications ·Experience working with structural engineers or fabricators in a precast or concrete-related industry. ·Knowledge of PCI, ACI, and IBC standards. ·Exposure to BIM coordination or 3D modeling workflows. ·Experience with Navisworks, Bluebeam, or Tekla (a plus but not required).
