Job Title: Development Manager We are seeking a skilled Development Manager to lead our Digital Scrum team in Bogota. Job Description: The successful candidate will oversee the team working on developing and maintaining the airline website, collaborating daily with developers, the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced, customer-facing agile environment. Responsibilities: - Coordinate development activities within a SAFe agile setup for new and existing website applications. - Ensure all work is delivered on time, within scope, and according to best practices. - Organize the team with clear roles and responsibilities to meet organizational and project needs. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their long-term roadmaps and develop strategies to support skillset and resource needs. - Maintain transparent communication channels with stakeholders, actively listening to their needs and facilitating support to maximize value. - Participate in technical discussions and Scrum ceremonies, providing technical leadership to build efficient, high-performance software solutions. - Address customer needs, prioritize issues, ensure delivery, and uphold process adherence and agile best practices. - Manage escalation of design, production, and quality issues promptly. - Take end-to-end responsibility for timely delivery of applications in your portfolio. Team Management: - Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and provide ongoing feedback. - Delegate effectively to leverage team strengths. - Identify opportunities for team members' career growth and propose developmental actions. - Promote upskilling through various training paths. - Motivate and inspire your team, sharing success stories and recognizing achievements. Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. - 12+ years in software development/engineering roles. - 3+ years in team/people management. - Excellent soft skills, including communication, problem-solving, and leadership. - Creative technical problem-solving skills and ability to translate requirements into scalable designs. - Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English. - Ability to meet deadlines with effective estimation, prioritization, and budgeting. - Ability to think abstractly and critically assess architectures, proposing improvements with modern technologies. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in web technologies like Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, RxJS, ngRX, Bootstrap. - Understanding of SOAP/REST/GraphQL web services and standards. - Experience with Test Driven Development and continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, BitBucket. - Knowledge of Source Control Management (Git). - Experience with Agile methodologies like SAFe, Kanban, Scrum. - Excellent English communication skills are required. - Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and cloud-based systems.
