This includes logistics, advertising & marketing, customer experience and retail. **Job Role & Responsibilities**: As a Microservices Developer on Inchcape Analytics team, you’ll be responsible to develop APIs and build Microservice Architecture to empower Data Science Development, Analysis & Experimentation. This will help us to build persuasive data science products (algorithms/use-cases). You will ensure scalability & robustness of your APIs as we are a multi-brand automotive distributor with operations spanning countries on five continents. You’ll act as a technical go-to person on Microservices, API Management etc, guiding the successful development and deployment of data products. You will provide technical guidance to a global cross-functional team comprising of various functions like data science, statistical analysis, automation, BI, analytics architecture, experimentation, and business analysis. You will work with a team of analysts & scientists and deliver projects within time & budget. You will also provide technical oversight and guidance for our acceleration partners who we’ve employed to help push forward our business objectives. You will experience in an exciting and rapidly growing team and an opportunity to be part of a truly global company. **What you’ll do**: - Design and build function-centric solutions in the context of transition from traditional, legacy platforms to microservices architectures - Define and refactor multi-channel client architecture offering and providing differentiated end-user experiences by leveraging containerization and cloud technology - Outline the governance and microservices development guiding principles as well as ensuring the best practices are followed by the development team - Work collaboratively with an agile, scrum-based team to understand the business domain and client requirements that drive analysis, architecture/design and development of quality technical solutions and deliverables. These solutions cross a broad spectrum of technologies and must align with business and IT strategies and to comply with the organization’s architectural and security standards. - Participate in coordinated planning sessions and provide effort estimates for business initiatives of IT solutions - Maintain cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards - Interact with the Product Engineering and Machine Learning team for product enhancements **Who you are**: You will have real-world, hand-on experience of developing and deploying Microservice-based solutions that has created meaningful impact and you have a passion towards operationalizing Data Science. You will have: - Basic skills implementing SOA, API and microservices architecture using any of the market leading solutions - Knowledge of RESTful and JSON APIs. - Experience in implementing business critical, high volume, and highly available services is a must. - Experience with containerization and cloud technologies (e.g. OpenShift, Kubernetes, Dockers, Mesos, AWS) as well as DevOps and testing tools (Git, SVN, TFS, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus, Selenium, SonarQube) - Experience with cloud-based, CD/CI or DevOps development environment - Good communication skills both in writing and verbally with ability to present the complex ideas or technical solution to business and/or management team - Domain knowledge in Automotive industry is desirable **Relevant Experience** - Proven track record of working with high-performing data teams that successfully implemented Microservice architecture for their analytics solutions - 1+ years of working experience in as a Developer using Microservices. **Leadership and Communication** - Strong stakeholder engagement skills including C-levels, Product, Engineering, Operation/Strategy Team. - Getting business stakeholders on-side and understanding in the value of advanc
