Summary of the role: An ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience designing cloud native solutions that use such practices and patterns. They will be effective communicators that can collaborate closely with team members on cross functional scrum teams. They will work with product owners and engineers to identify the roadmap, plan and prioritize the work to deliver value incrementally. They will be effective mentors to enable engineers to implement the patterns and designs effectively. They will work with DevOps and Site Reliability engineers to plan deployment and operational views. They will document the systems being created using diagrams and other visualizations, to support operational and deployment planning and security reviews and artifacts. Key Responsibilities ·Guide a team to deliver microservices based on reference architectures this includes use of integration patterns and communication protocols. ·Provide documentation and diagrams that can be used by other architects, engineers, product, security, and operations to understand the system. ·Work closely with enterprise architects and engineering teams to build application modernization roadmaps in adherence with enterprise standards. ·Hands-on prototyping of solutions to drive value and demonstrate vision. ·Provide governance for enterprise architecture while contributing to standards. ·Ensure operational and security standards are architecturally addressed in collaboration with security and technology teams. About the ideal candidate Relevant Work Experience: 8+ years of experience designing and delivering software applications, using C# 3+ years of experience in solution architecture for integrated enterprise scale applications Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Hands-on, real-world experience with modern architectural patterns and practices – including but not limited to API best practices, Domain Driven Design, CQRS, event-based architectures, etc. Experience with cloud native deployment patterns. Understanding and experience of Database and data modelling with SQL and NoSQL Data stores. Familiar with implementation of Observability using Open Telemetry specifications. Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration across multiple groups, ability to present solutions, and build consensus. Understanding of SDLC, CI/CC processes for scale including blue/green, red/black, canary, CI/CD, and resiliency engineering. A proven record of leading microservice modernization effort is highly desirable. Travel industry experience is a plus. Azure certification is a plus.
