Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer / Curriculum Developer specializing in K–12 (K1-8/primary school is preferred) education, ideally with a background in science curriculum. In this role, you will transform existing print materials into comprehensive digital learning experiences. You’ll create engaging lessons, slides, assessments, and activities that meet educational standards for states such as Texas and California. This position is ideal for a candidate with significant experience designing instructional content and a passion for making science accessible and inspiring for children. Key Responsibilities Adapt and restructure existing book content into comprehensive digital courses (16–25 slides per lesson). Develop clear learning objectives, lesson plans, assessments, and supporting materials. Script video lessons and design interactive activities and challenges that reinforce core concepts. Conduct supplemental research to enrich lessons and ensure alignment with state educational standards. Source and integrate age-appropriate, engaging examples and references. Digital Course Building Use Casper-to-Casper (C2C) and other digital tools to create and publish polished course modules. Work closely with the curriculum team to align on lesson outlines, review drafts, and incorporate edits. Participate in collaborative planning, peer reviews, and regular check-ins. Additional Content Development Occasionally, draft related blog articles or supplementary resources in line with the brand’s tone and voice. Required Qualifications Experience Minimum 3 years of professional experience in curriculum design, instructional design, or educational publishing. Demonstrated expertise in developing K–12 instructional materials, ideally in science or health education. Skills Strong knowledge of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy). Exceptional writing and editing skills tailored to K–12 audiences. Proficiency with digital content development tools (Google Slides, PowerPoint, or similar). Ability to conduct targeted research and adapt content for diverse learning needs. Excellent organization and project management skills. Preferred Prior experience designing standards-aligned content for Texas and California. Familiarity with social-emotional learning concepts and integration into academic subjects. Compensation: Payment in USD or local currency, depending on the candidates' preference.
