About the role Our Consulting Services department supports over 500 academic institutions through the initial onboarding of Digital Commons and provide ongoing customer support and training to help our customers maximize the use and benefits of our products/services. As a Consultant II, you will be a key point of contact for clients, providing expert support in launching, managing, and optimizing digital repositories and publications, with a focus on Spanish-speaking clients and markets. Based remotely, you will deliver support during local business hours in fluent Spanish and English, fostering long-term client success and satisfaction. Responsibilities Welcoming new clients aboard, and guiding them with building Digital Commons repositories and publications to their specifications Collaborating with university faculty and librarians to launch new projects in their repositories, guide them in best practices for publishing, and troubleshoot unusual problems. Forging strong professional relationships with our clients and providingtimely advice on issues affecting digital libraries and academic publishing Training clients (usually remotely) to help them use and customize our templated systems Working closely with managers and senior team members to address client needs, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement system improvements Assisting with documentation, system testing, and feedback to enhance our services Supporting clients in multiple languages, creating relevant documentation and communications as needed Contributing to team knowledge sharing and best practice development, working in a collaborative, matrixed environment, providing feedback to help streamline or expand our services as our growing business requires. Maintaining adherence to departmental protocols, policies, and project timelines Requirements Fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent written, verbal, and comprehension skills in both languages Bachelor's degree or higher highly preferred Experience in a customer-facing role Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, basic HTML/CSS, and XML familiarity Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work collaboratively across departments Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment Familiarity with academic publishing, library sciences, and university culture are BIG pluses Willingness to travel when needed, for client visits or training Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
