Overview CVP is seeking Board Certified Radiologists to join our team in providing our Nation's Veterans with high-quality radiological services at the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC. This is a full-time, onsite position working Monday-Friday with on-call responsibilities. Residents and Fellows encouraged to apply. Location: William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center 6439 Garners Ferry Road Columbia, SC 29209 Working Schedule: Standard in-person hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm On-call responsibilities: weeknights 4:30 pm - 8:00 am and weekends from Friday 4:30 pm - Monday 8:00 am Holiday coverage as needed Responsibilities Provide general diagnostic and interventional radiology services, including but not limited to Abdominal/GU, Breast Imaging, Cardiovascular, General, Interventional, Musculoskeletal, and Neuroradiology procedures Perform diagnostic imaging interpretation for various modalities including conventional radiography, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine studies, and interventional radiographic procedures Review consults and next-day patient cases (minimum two hours daily) Provide consultation with and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for radiologic procedures Determine appropriate course of treatment and communicate with referring clinicians Provide post-procedure evaluation and follow-up and clinical consultation regarding complications of interventional radiologic procedures Complete clinical progress notes in CPRS within 48 hours of patient visits Process view alerts within seven days from date of creation Participate in continuous quality improvement activities Attend staff meetings, tumor boards, and other specialized medical conferences as required Perform peer reviews (approximately four hours per month) Participate in the education and supervision of health professions trainees Maintain patient safety and infection control standards Follow all VA policies and procedures regarding patient care, documentation, and confidentiality Qualifications One to four years of experience Ability to successfully undergo a Government sponsored background investigation (US Citizenship Required) Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited program Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology Experience with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures Proficient in the use of electronic medical records systems Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a VA Medical Center Fellowship training in one or more radiological subspecialties Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification About CVP CVP is an award-winning healthcare and next-gen technology and consulting services firm solving critical problems for healthcare, national security, and public sector clients.
