About the Function Our Sales team love building relationships, connecting with customers to sell our much-loved brands in new and vibrant markets where they can thrive. They help sell our iconic brands across 180 countries every year. About the Role A Sales Area Manager at Diageo is a role focused on leading and developing a sales team within a specific geographic area. Ensure the achievement of sales targets and driving business growth by managing and executing investment plans across various channels. Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Meet or exceed sales volume, share, distribution, and rate of sale targets within their designated area. - Lead and develop a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, training, and performance management. - Oversee the planning and execution of investment plans across all relevant sales channels. - Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and sales performance to identify opportunities and challenges. - Track and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to management. Requirements - Sales Experience: Significant experience in sales, ideally within the alcoholic beverage industry or a similar fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment. - Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team. - Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. - Digital Literacy: Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in sales and marketing.
