Union Bid Period: 4/22/2025 to 4/28/2025 Job Description Nature and Level of Work Perform skilled journey-level work in the installation, maintenance, service, and repair of plumbing systems and equipment. Work is subject to spot checks and inspections for conformance to standards. Key Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain water, air, vacuum, gas, hot water, distilled water, acid, and chemical distribution lines and systems; storm and sanitary waste lines; steam and condensate return lines; and specialized installations. May inspect, test, and maintain water softening equipment. Perform soldering, gluing, threading, cabling, and camera inspection of sanitary, storm, and grease drain lines. Knowledge of hanger spacing, installation, and service of commercial plumbing fixtures. Insulate and paint lines and equipment. Drill holes in walls, floors, and ceilings. Maintain tools and equipment, operate safely, and store properly. Enforce safety requirements related to equipment operation. Assist with cost estimates, material orders, reports, and record-keeping. Operate construction equipment such as backhoes as required. A valid Missouri driver’s license is required. Perform other duties as assigned. Shift 3:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience and training. Four years of work experience in the trade, including apprenticeship or vocational training. Ability to read blueprints, plans, drawings, and plumbing diagrams. Skill in using tools, equipment, and materials of the trade. Physical ability to lift heavy objects (50-80 lbs.), climb ladders, and visually assess needs. A valid driver’s license may be required.
