Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Solid knowledge of medical terminology, insurance policies, and healthcare billing. Compassionate and patient-focused approach to service. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Computer savvy with a strong general tech aptitude. Recent graduates are welcome; ideal for those seeking a stable, professional career path. Your Daily Tasks Schedule patient appointments, verify insurance eligibility, and explain copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. Manage telephone encounters for medication refills and referrals. Respond to patient inquiries, provide general information, and offer support over the phone. Validate patient eligibility for appointments and procedure codes. Educate patients on insurance coverage and benefits. Coordinate with insurance providers to ensure accurate billing. Maintain thorough documentation of insurance details, appointments, and communication history. Use electronic health record (EHR) systems to update and manage patient records.
