In light of this sustained success, thecompany is currently in search of a Senior Risk Officer, FinancialInstitutions – Credit Risk Management / Latin America (m/f/d) KeyResponsibilities: - Perform/lead comprehensive credit risk analysisof financial institutions for current and potential investmentopportunities across assigned countries in Central and SouthAmerica. - Assume the role of Risk Transaction Leader for proposedtransactions/investments by participating in on- and off-site duediligence to perform a comprehensive credit risk analysis toidentify and assess key credit risks. - Provide/write concise andcredible credit risk opinions for decision makers. Such opinionsshould contain defined key risks, respective mitigants ifidentified, and overall risk evaluation from the creditperspective. - Perform regular and ad hoc internal ratings for theassigned portfolio/financial institutions and outstandingexposures. - Perform regular risk monitoring of the outstandingdebt investments in financial institutions as well as assignedcountries of operations, proactively identifying warning signalsand proposing credit mitigation strategies and actions. - Analyzeand assess regulatory and resolution regimes for financialinstitutions in different jurisdictions. Perform industry- andinstrument-specific risk analysis e.g. for Cajas, cooperatives, orfor banks’ Tier-2 debt instruments. - Demonstrate constructiveapproach in the investment process by providing alternative andreasonable structuring advice to mitigate identified elevatedrisks. Ensure close cooperation and coordination with InvestmentManagement and other departments within the organization. - Ensurethorough risk reviews of loan agreements and other legal documentsfrom the credit perspective in adherence to the company's/Funds'risk appetite and investment best practice, following the LMAdocumentation standard. - Stay updated on key market, industry,regulatory, and macroeconomic developments in assigned countries ofoperation. - Prepare and deliver concise and comprehensiverisk-related communications and presentations to key stakeholders,both internal and external. - Provide coaching and guidance tojunior staff members to help develop their knowledge and skillset.What we expect: - Degree in Economics, Business Administration,Finance, or a related field. - Understanding of core macroeconomicprocesses and indicators. - Excellent understanding of financialmarkets and dynamics in Central/Latin America (macroeconomic,regulatory and political aspects). - Proven professional experiencein assessing risks of financial institutions in Latin America(banks, leasing and microfinance organizations), gained frominternational development banks, private banks,international/regional financing companies, rating agencies,consulting firms, or financial sector regulators. - Strong teamplayer with the ability to work confidently, with integrity, andwith limited supervision. - Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills in Spanish and English. Knowledge ofPortuguese is considered an additional advantage. - Effectiveinterpersonal skills to interact confidently and clearly atdifferent corporate levels as well as with external parties andstakeholders. - Ability to organize and prioritize work, meetdeadlines, and oversee projects. - Pro-active, creative,self-motivating attitude. - Willingness and ability to travel tocountries of Finance in Motion’s operations in Central and SouthAmerica as necessary. - Demonstrable commitment to Finance inMotion’s vision and mission.
