Our client is seeking **Senior Sensor Scientist or Physicist** with expertise in sensor geometry, image fusion, and remote sensing to support advanced research and development efforts. This role is ideal for a technically driven professional with a strong foundation in mathematics and sensor/target phenomenology. **PLEASE NOTE: They are hiring for both Dayton, OH and Columbia, MD** **Responsibilities**- Design and implement advanced algorithms for sensor homography, image stitching, and scene reconstruction.- Conduct applied research in remote sensing and multi-sensor data exploitation to support real-world mission objectives.- Develop image processing and computer vision solutions to improve the usability and interpretation of complex data.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate algorithms into scalable tools and operational systems.- Prepare technical documentation, white papers, and briefings for internal stakeholders and external partners.**Qualifications**- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.- - In-depth understanding of sensor/target phenomenology and imaging principles.- Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using scientific libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and OpenCV.- Demonstrated ability to create and deploy algorithms in research or mission-focused environments.- Experience with computer vision in real-time or embedded platforms.- Exposure to machine learning methods for sensor or image data analysis.- Familiarity with C++, MATLAB, or high-performance computing frameworks.- Background supporting defense, intelligence, or aerospace-related projects
